Gratitude and Humility, Day 9

My heart is full today. Thank you for your kind comments when I was feeling so down. As usual when I am in a funk like this, blessings have multiplied in the last day or so for us. Our Father in Heaven is oh-so-mindful of our circumstances and His tender mercies are all around us.

Grateful for these today:

1. lovely snow
2. trip downtown safely before snow storm began
3. generous sister watching 6 kids so we could attend the temple
4. being in the temple with family
5. genealogy and feeling connected with my ancestors
6. a husband who loves me; the quirks and habits and all of me.
7. my Grammy - gosh, I miss her
8. new tires on the van
9. slippers to wear at home on cold days
10. JEDI FOUND THE COAT!

This week we had a fun sisters lunch date at Ashley's house. She took this picture of the babies together (5 mos, 8 mos, 9 mos). Don't they look like they are getting caught up in age? It's fun to see them grow together!

We interrupt this Thanksgiving season...

I had such a lousy day yesterday. I woke up with my eye freaking out and I am on day two of wearing my glasses (which I hate) and it makes me very grumpy. My eye is all red and I think my contacts are irritating it. It happened a couple weeks ago, too. Going to the Dr on Monday.

My 7 year old Jedi has now lost his third winter coat. He is the most distracted, absentminded boy on the planet. He loses absolutely everything. Now it's supposed to snow tomorrow. What to do? I cannot afford coat after coat.

My baby slipped and hit her head on the kitchen tile as well.

Grumpy, blah day. I know I should be grateful for many things, I'm just not feeling it today.

Good things and stuff

That's what he prayed for.

My son asked Heavenly Father to help us do "good things and stuff" this morning. That's not so hard, right? I spend my entire days doing good things and stuff.

Or do I?

I am trying really hard this month to do more "good things and stuff" when it comes to my family. When I make that effort, it's always win-win. Hubby and I are both vowing to lower our voices more, love more, and make memories more often. We are committing to looking for the positive; the silver lining.

To make it more tangible to me I will be listing my gratitudes this month here on my blog. Join me if you wish!
